Just Like You (Inclusion Project)
Just Like You—Inclusion is a supportive and vibrant group designed for young people aged 13 yrs-24 yrs with mild to moderate special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). We aim to create a space where everyone feels welcome, understood, and valued. Led by experienced and compassionate youth workers, our sessions provide a safe and nurturing environment where young individuals can connect with peers, embrace neurodiversity, and celebrate their unique abilities.
Each week, we offer a variety of engaging activities tailored to the interests of our participants. There’s always something new to explore, from gaming, cooking, and music to sports, arts, and exciting outings. These sessions are more than just fun—they’re a chance to build social skills, boost confidence, and encourage independence in a relaxed, friendly setting. Through shared experiences, we aim to reduce feelings of isolation and ensure each young person feels a sense of belonging. We focus on meeting diverse social and emotional needs by celebrating differences and nurturing friendships.
Our life skills and employability programme is aimed at equipping young people with SEND with the skills and confidence to enter the world of work.
