Disability Project

Our Disability Project is aimed specifically for vulnerable young people with a variety of additional needs including autistic spectrum, Down Syndrome and global developmental delay; all of which regularly attend our Disability Project run in a safe and supportive environment.

We offer a wide range of fun activities during each session including:

  • Cooking
  • Art sessions
  • Open mic nights
  • Climbing wall and building-based sport activities
  • Pool table & table-tennis tournaments
  • Listening to favourite music
  • Chilling with and making new friends

…and much more all supported by experienced staff and peer volunteers; helping build positive relationships and enhancing communication skills.

Activities & Trips

Activities and trips are planned throughout the year that promote independent living skills and enhance social and emotional wellbeing and cognitive development. The young people help decide what they want to do.

Each week brings fun and there is never a dull moment!  We are privilege to run such a great project building these young people’s confidence and self-esteem and are always looking for volunteers to join us.
