Registered Charity Number 1156805
Combined with over 120 years of experience working with young people; our staff team is innovative, diverse, dynamic and passionate about creating positive, lasting change for young people.
A strong staff team, supported by volunteers, is the foundation of TOKKO. Each staff member offers a unique and valuable set of skills providing TOKKO with a diversity of thought, creativity, perspectives, opportunities, and problem-solving approaches. This allow us to develop exciting opportunities to support young people according to their individual needs; enhancing their mental health and wellbeing and raising their aspirations.
We asked them why they are proud to work at TOKKO.
It’s an honour and a privilege to be asked to lead such an innovative youth charity.
This is a great organisation made up of great people, with real expertise and I am confident that together we can succeed in providing a safe and welcoming space for all young people.
‘I have been lucky enough to see TOKKO develop from its infancy over the last 8 years to the incredible charity you find today; working with some amazing funders, partners, staff and young people along the way to make a lasting positive difference. I get a sense of pride when young people take positive steps forward – (however small those steps might be) and when as a team we find a way to make what initially seemed impossible, possible.’
‘I am proud to work for Tokko because every single member of the team, no matter what their actual job title, puts their heart and soul into this work and does their absolute best to help every young person that they can, often going above and beyond.’
‘Our team and our heart-based ethos.’
I’m proud to be part of such a diverse, creative and warm hearted team, setting up Luton young people to win at life!
‘That it is a place that gives opportunity to young people, and support vulnerable young people out in the world.’

I enjoying working with and supporting a wide and diverse group of people.
I love that TOKKO gives opportunity and potential to all young people to express themselves into becoming the best possible version of themselves !
To be able to help out the diverse community Tokko provides for, whether this be helping individuals learn new life skills or to engage in recreational activities.
Being part of the team and making sure that the TOKKO building is a physically safe space where the staff can support vulnerable young people. It is always great to get involved in innovative ideas and projects around the building.
“I love saying hello to such a wide diverse range of amazing young people who visit TOKKO. I especially enjoy investigating what staff may be having for lunch, joining in on appropriate activities and my regular afternoon snooze under the desk.”
