At Tokko Youth Hub, we believe that working in partnership with local and national organisations can achieve even more significant positive outcomes for young people. Collaboration allows us to combine skills, resources, and expertise, enhancing the support available to the youth in Luton.
We welcome opportunities to work together on projects that empower young people, apply for joint funding, and share valuable insights. By leveraging these partnerships, we can create tailored, evidence-based programmes that address the unique challenges faced by disadvantaged and diverse communities.
We collaborate with Luton Youth Partnership to enhance support for ‘at risk’ young people in the community. Together, we provide resources, guidance, and engaging activities during Tokko’s weekly drop-in sessions, creating a safe and welcoming environment. This partnership strengthens our collective impact, empowering Luton’s youth to thrive and achieve their full potential. We deliver a Multi-agency approach to supporting young people at risk through delivery of Detached youth work with LBC Youth Partnership Service daily.
We partner with Boxing Saves Lives to support vulnerable young people in their self-development journey. This collaboration promotes discipline, confidence, and resilience through boxing and sporting activities. By engaging in these empowering sessions, participants gain valuable life skills, fostering both physical and mental well-being in a safe and supportive environment.
The concept of the Trust was formed during a meeting in October 2003 between four Rotarians, one from each of the four Rotary Clubs in Luton, who were each to become President of their respective clubs during the Centennial year of Rotary International in 2004-5. They had met to seek a joint project to celebrate the Centenary Year and which would have an ongoing and lasting benefit to the community of Luton.
The four Rotarians were:
Bronwen Philpott, Roger Munday, Barrie Blewitt, Bob Firbank
We work closely with Total Wellbeing Luton to engage and support young people in health and well-being initiatives. This collaboration provides educational workshops and treatment programmes, promoting physical and mental wellness. By creating hands-on learning experiences, the partnership empowers youth to develop practical skills while prioritising their well-being in a supportive environment.
