What is Brief Interventions Counselling?
Brief interventions counselling is a short-term talking therapy designed to support young people aged 11 yrs –18 yrs. We offer up to six free and confidential 1-to-1 sessions with a qualified counsellor in a safe and non-judgemental space.
The focus is on helping you explore your feelings, find solutions, and build coping strategies that boost your confidence and resilience. Counsellors don’t tell you what to do – they listen, guide, and support you to make positive changes.
Where does the counselling take place?
All counselling sessions are held in our private counselling rooms on the second floor at: Tokko Youth Hub, 7 Gordon Street, Luton, LU1 2PQ. The space is safe, confidential, and designed to help you feel comfortable and supported.

What are counselling sessions like?
Counselling is all about giving you a safe, private space to talk about what’s on your mind. You’re in control – you decide what you want to talk about. We listen, not judge – your counsellor won’t tell you what to do, but will help you explore your feelings and find your own way forward. It’s tailored to you – every session is shaped around your needs, background, and experiences. It’s practical and supportive – together, you’ll work on building confidence, coping strategies, and tools to manage stress, anxiety, or other challenges. Think of it as time set aside just for you – to be heard, understood, and supported.
