Operations Assistant (Full-time)

Full-time: 37 hrs per week, 12-month fixed-term contract
Salary: £26,500 actual

Tokko Youth Hub is looking for an organised and proactive Operations Assistant to support the smooth day-to-day running of our charity. This is a varied role where you’ll assist with operations, administration, facilities coordination, digital systems, and volunteer support.

You’ll work across teams to keep things running efficiently, support events and projects, and help improve systems and processes.

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has at least 3 years’ experience in an admin or operations role
  • Is organised, adaptable, and solution-focused
  • Has strong communication and IT skills
  • Enjoys working in a fast-paced, team environment

Sessional Youth Worker

Sessional:

Term time – Monday – Friday, 4:30pm – 7:00pm (weekly youth sessions)

and/or school holidays – various daytime hours supporting holiday activity programmes

Salary: £13.13 per hour + holiday pay (equivalent to £14.71 per hour)

We’re looking for passionate individuals to join Tokko Youth Hub as Sessional Youth Workers. This is an exciting opportunity to support young people in Luton at a key time in our organisation.

You’ll play a vital role in delivering engaging youth sessions during the week and fun, enriching programmes during school holidays — helping young people build confidence, skills and positive relationships.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Support and deliver evening group sessions during term time, and/or deliver daytime programmes during school holidays, including trips and activities
  • Building positive, trusted relationships with young people

  • Encouraging participation, confidence and personal development

  • Supporting young people who may be facing challenges or disadvantage

Who We’re Looking For

We welcome applicants with experience (paid or voluntary) working with young people, and especially those who bring skills or specialisms such as (but not limited to):

  • Sport and physical activity
  • Creative arts and media
  • Skills development and informal education
  • SEND support

You’ll be a strong communicator, approachable, and able to engage young people in a creative and inclusive way.

Become a Volunteers

Volunteer Personal Trainers

Are you a Level 2 qualified Personal Trainer who wants to inspire and motivate young people to lead happy and healthy lives?

Volunteer a few hours per week at Tokko Youth Hub’s newly refurbished Gym at our purpose-built youth facility in the heart of Luton. With support from our Youth Workers, you will make real impact on the lives of young people 13 yrs – 19yrs and 24yrs with SEND, promoting better physical health and life long healthy habits.

Volunteer opportunities – Monday – Friday, 5 pm – 7 pm and Saturdays 1 pm – 4 pm. All sessions supported by our youth workers.

DBS Check required and safeguarding training provided.
